Membership Requirements

MAPS keeps track of members' "points" to ensure that students are pursuing excellence, participating in community service activities, and maintaining their social awareness. Members are free to mix-and-match where their points come from to create a schedule that works best for them. Although all students who pay their dues by the deadline are considered members, 5 MAPS points and 5 service points are required to maintain active general member status and apply for officer positions. 


The 5 MAPS points may come from:

  • Social Events

  • General Meetings

  • Academic Workshops

  • Fundraisers

The 5 Service Points may come from:

  • Service Opportunities, with 1 service shift equating to 1 Service Point
