Membership Requirements

MAPS keeps track of members' "points" to ensure that students are pursuing excellence, participating in community service activities, and maintaining their social awareness. Members are free to mix-and-match where their points come from to create a schedule that works best for them. Although all students who pay their dues by the deadline are considered members, 10 MAPS points and 10 service points are required to maintain active general member status and apply for officer positions. 


The 10 MAPS points may come from:

  • Social Events

  • General Meetings

  • Academic Workshops

  • Fundraisers

The 10 Service Points may come from:

  • Service Opportunities, with 1 hour of service equating to 1 Service Point

    • Up to 6 Points may be earned with outside opportunities not offered through MAPS​
